Duotts C29-K

The Duotts C29-K is a 29-inch electric bicycle with an aluminum frame, a 500 W hub motor, and two separate 48V batteries (15Ah + 22.5Ah). The combination of large wheels, hydraulic disc brakes, and long range makes this model suitable for commuting and longer rides on asphalt and gravel.

Laws and regulations

In Sweden, a vehicle is classified as an electric bicycle if, among other things, it:

• has an electric motor with a nominal power of no more than 250 W

• only provides electric assistance when the rider pedals

• stops providing electric assistance at 25 km/h

The Duotts C29-K has a motor specified at 500 W, and the manufacturer states that the system can be unlocked to approximately 45–50 km/h.

This means that the vehicle is normally not considered an electric bicycle in Sweden but may be subject to other regulations.
